The Holiness of the Path

Still listening to James Finley’s Thomas Merton’s Path to the Palace of Nowhere, in which he tells the story of walking along a path at a monastery, and picking up a cigarette butt, feeling disgusted that someone would disregard the holiness of it. One day while he was walking along Superior Ave in Cleveland, OH he realized that neither location was more or less holy then the other.
